EICR Legal Requirement
A new Regulation came into force in England on 1st June 2020 making it a legal requirement for all Landlords to have their rental properties electrically inspected and certified. Electrical Safety Standards in the Private Rented Sector (England) Regulations 2020 require Private Tenancy Landlords to:

- All private tenancy properties must be re-inspected at the end of their term.
A copy of the EICR must be provided to both new and old tenants and to a Local Housing Authority when requested.
